Proclamation to prorogue parliament

The Official Secretary to the Governor-General, Mr Stephen Brady, read the Proclamation from the Governor-General to prorogue the Parliament from 4.59pm, Monday, July 19 2010, till Saturday, August 21 2010.

Parliament’s House of Representatives was also dissolved at 5pm on Monday, July 19 2010.

This was followed by a 19-gun salute in front of Parliament House.
