Birthday celebrations for a leading non-government organisation that supports women suffering from poverty and oppression were held at Admiralty House.
Women and men involved with the International Women’s Development Agency joined the organisation’s Patron, Governor-General, Ms Quentin Bryce AC, and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE in celebrating 25 years of achievement for the organisation.
Speaking to over 100 guests at the event, Ms Bryce said the IWDA’s milestone reflected the Australian qualities of trusting, championing, and empowering women to participate fully in society.
