The Governor-General attends the Australian Women Lawyers' Conference

Lawyers from across nation converged on Brisbane for the Australian Women Lawyers' third conference at the Stamford Plaza, Brisbane.
The Governor-General, Ms Quentin Bryce AC, also attended the event, which aimed to support justice and equality for women, with a specific focus on direct and indirect discrimination against women in the legal profession.
After attending a conference session, Ms Bryce launched the book ‘Women and the Law in Australia’, edited by Professor Patricia Easteal AM.
