Governor-General visits Matildas during their AIS training camp

Australian women’s soccer’s top talent was on show during a training camp held at the Australian Institute of Sport, Canberra.

The Governor-General, Ms Quentin Bryce AC, visited the Matildas to support their bid for the 2011 Women’s World Cup to be held in Germany.

Taking a break from their training session, the players had morning tea with Ms Bryce and showed her the Women’s Asian Cup won by Australia in May this year.
