Mr Michael Bryce attends the Battle of Britain Service

The Battle of Britain was remembered during a ceremony at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra.

Mr Michael Bryce joined veterans and visitors at a commemoration to mark the 70th anniversary of the Royal Air Force’s engagement of the German Luftwaffe in the Battle of Britain.

Wreaths were laid in remembrance of the Battle, which started on 10 July, 1940 and caused over 20,000 civilian casualties. The RAF lost approximately 1,023 aircraft, while the Luftwaffe lost up to 1,887.
