Governor-General opens sculpture exhibition at Sawmillers Reserve, Sydney

An inaugural sculpture exhibition at McMahons Point, Sydney was opened by the Governor-General, Ms Quentin Bryce AC, who said it was a privilege to get close to the artists’ work.

Ms Bryce and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE were escorted around the Sculpture at Sawmillers Exhibition by organiser Ms Elsa Atkin, viewing over 50 sculptures that were on display.

Over 80 sculptors, emerging artists and art students submitted their works for the exhibition.

A Scouts Guard-of-Honour was also formed for the arrival and departure of the Governor-General, who is also the Chief Scout.
