Governor-General launches the Spinal Cord Injuries Australia 'Walk On' Program

The ‘Walk On’ program, created by Spinal Cord Injuries Australia (SCIA), was launched in Sydney by the  Governor-General, Ms Quentin Bryce AC, The program uses advanced exercise and rehabilitation techniques for those suffering from spinal cord injuries.

Ms Bryce, Patron of SCIA, heard from Mr Roderick Watson and Mr Tony Glashoff, who spoke about the injuries they had sustained and the assistance they were receiving through the Walk On program at the University of Sydney’s Faculty of Health Science, Lidcombe.

Ms Bryce and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE were later taken on a tour of the rehabilitation centre and met clients of the program.
