In Tamworth, New South Wales,the Governor-General presented singer and songwriter John Williamson with an award to mark his 40 years in the industry. A long term fan, Ms Bryce recalled Mr Williamson's original hit "Old Man Emu".

Ms Bryce enjoyed country music of a different kind at a concert with Kasey Chambers, Poppa Bill and the Little Hillbillies, and congratulated Kasey after the show with the Mayor of Tamworth, James Treloar.
