Ms Bryce was greeted by the Chair of the National Australia Day Council,  Adam Gilchrist, and introduced by journalist Ray Martin in an evening packed with remembrances and musical performances, including a rendition of "You're the Voice" by the 1987 Australian of the Year, John Farnham.
