In Sydney, the Governor-General discussed women’s equal participation in society,particularly in leadership and key decision making roles,at the first Women in Leadership lunch organised by the Committee for Economic Development(CEDA).

Addressing an audience of around 700 men and women, the Governor-General discussed her own experiences as a lawyer, human rights campaigner and mother, before a vote of thanks from Ms Tristan Wills, Executive General Manager of the Commonwealth Bank.
