The Governor-General learned of the work of Dubai Cares, a highly successful philanthropic organisation established three years ago, during a meeting with its Patron, Her Excellency Reem Al Hasheemi, Minister of State.

Dubai Cares was launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates. It focuses on providing primary education an sanitation facilities for children in developing countries. Her Excellency also explained the intricacies of Arab script to Mr Bryce during their meeting.
