On the Gallipoli Peninsula, the Governor-General represented Australia at three significant ceremonies to mark Anzac Day.

Ms Bryce joined representatives of ten nations at the Turkish International Service at the main Turkish memorial on Gallipoli, which honours all nations whose soldiers have died in war.It is dedicated to 250,000 war dead, including 87,000 Turkish soldiers who died at Gallipoli. The Governor-General laid a wreath at the French Memorial Service at the French War Cemetery and Memorial at the entrance to the Dardenelles. The cemetery contains the graves of over 3,000 unknown French soldiers. At the Commonwealth Memorial Service at Cape Helles, Ms Bryce joined representatives of Commonwealth countries who lost 34,000 service personnel in the Gallipoli campaign.
