The Australian Academy of Science’s annual dinner was attended by the Governor-General and Mr Bryce at the National Museum of Australia in Canberra.

Ms Bryce commended the Academy for promoting science and its vital place, purpose and potential in Australian society.

Ms Bryce also presented the prestigious Academy Medal to Mr Peter Pockley for his contribution to science in Australia.
