The Governor-General's long term interest in indigenous education prompted a visit to the Youth Co-Location Hub to meet participants in the "Connections" program which supports young indigenous people through their high school years. She slipped across to the school's oval to meet younger children participating in the highly successful "Clontarf" program, which encourages children to remain in school through sport.
Later in the day, Ms Bryce visited the Kununurra District Hospital to thank the medical staff and meet some of the patients. She paid tribute to the Hospital's nurses, in recognition of World Nurses Day.
In the evening, the Kununurra Choir entertained guests at a Civic Reception.
