An honourary Doctor of Laws was presented to the Governor-General during a graduation ceremony at the University of Sydney.

The Governor-General received her doctorate before the graduating class of Law students, and was presented with the award by University Chancellor, Professor Marie Bashir.

Ms Bryce marked the occasion by describing her time as a law student as "halcyon days", and she advised the young graduates to "stay challenged, dig deep and discover their strengths".
