One in three Australians are at risk of developing kidney or urinary tract disease: that was the message highlighted by the Governor-General at the launch of Kidney Health Week 2010 at Admiralty House.

It was also a special moment for Professor Judith Whitworth, who was the winner of the Priscilla Kincaid-Smith medal, presented by Ms Bryce.

Ms Whitworth was described by Ms Bryce as an "esteemed recipient" who was awarded for her renowned scientific and clinical work in the areas of kidney function and blood pressure research.
