The Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce met the ambassador and patrons, including Eye Foundation Chair Mr Peter Keel, ophthalmologists and Foundation members at a function at Admiralty House.

Ms Bryce, who is patron of the foundation, praised the work done by the organisation and its efforts in assisting disadvantaged communities.

"We must pay attention to our eyes from the time that we are very young, and we must keep on paying attention by getting regular checkups every two years," Ms Bryce said.
