The Australian Bureau of Statistics’ 2009-10 Year Book Australia also marks the International Years of Biodiversity and Cultural Rapprochement, while paying tribute to the Australian Year of the Girl Guide.

Ms Bryce commended the team of people who worked on the project.

"The Australian community and our governments are enormously fortunate to have your experts mining, cutting, polishing and positioning its contents," Ms Bryce said.
