The Vice President of the People's Republic of China, His Excellency Mr Xi Jinping and the Governor-General renewed their acquaintance when Mr Jinping called on Ms Bryce at Government House in Canberra.

The Vice-President and the Governor-General recalled their last meeting in Beijing on June the 9th, when Ms Bryce travelled to China to meet him and to visit the World Expo in Shanghai.
