The Governor-General greeted the President of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, His Excellency Dr Jose Ramos-Horta at a ceremonial welcome ceremony in Canberra.

Following a 21-gun salute and inspection of the Federation Guard, Ms Bryce introduced Dr Ramos-Horta to Australian officials. Ms Bryce has travelled to Timor-Leste twice during her term as Governor-General.
