Opening of the Barcoo Shire Administration Building in Jundah.

Community members gathered together for the opening of the Barcoo Shire Administration Building in Jundah.

The Governor-General, Ms Quentin Bryce AC, and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, were joined by Shire staff and residents for the opening.

"These are important buildings: not only in their purpose and function, their design and presence, but in what they signify," Ms Bryce said.

"They sit at the centre and heart of your community."
