Opening of Stonehenge Community Centre

A small town in outback Queensland’s Barcoo Shire celebrated the opening of a new facility by the Governor-General, Ms Quentin Bryce AC.

Stonehenge residents gathered together with Ms Bryce and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE at the new Community Centre.

It was Ms Bryce’s first visit to the town, and she highlighted the importance of the new building for the community.

"It is a sign of the achievement of this community. It is a sign that will proudly speak of Stonehenge and its people for a long time to come," Ms Bryce said.
