The 6th Aviation Regiment Guidon Parade

The 6th Aviation Regiment Guidon Parade was watched by families, friends and the Australian Defence Force Commander-in-Chief, Ms Bryce, who described the men and women before her as part of a magnificent team.

"I have been deeply impressed by those of you: who operate in the most harsh and volatile conditions, protecting Australia and building peace and stability in areas of conflict and vulnerability around the world," Ms Bryce said.

The Governor-General presented the Regiment with their Guidon, which is traditionally carried by cavalry units in battle and marks the rally point for the troops before commencing battle.
