On Thursday 30 November 2017, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.
Afterwards, the Governor-General received the Ambassador-designate to the Hellenic Republic of Greece, Ms Kate Logan.
Later, the Governor-General received the Ambassador-designate to Kuwait, Mr Jonathan Gilbert.
In the afternoon the Governor-General received the Ambassador to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Mr Craig Chittick OAM.
Afterwards, the Governor-General received the President of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Her Excellency Mrs Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan MP.
Later, the Governor-General received the Ambassador-designate to the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Mr Jean-Bernard Carrasco.
In the evening, at the Inspire Centre, Canberra, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove attended the Arts for Recovery, Resilience, Teamwork and Skills (ARRTS) Program showcase.
Earlier, the Governor-General met with students from Norwood Morialta High School, SA; and Ararat West Primary School, VIC, as they undertook a tour of Government House as part of their visit to Canberra.
