NEW DESIGN FOR QUEEN'S CONGRATULATORY CARD

Her Majesty The Queen has agreed to a new design for the card carrying her message of congratulations to Australians who are celebrating special anniversaries.

The Queen is pleased to send a message of congratulations to couples celebrating their 60th, 65th and 70th wedding anniversaries and for people celebrating their 100th, 105th and subsequent birthdays.

The new card design features a picture of Her Majesty taken during a recent visit to Government House in Canberra and a personalised message. The new congratulatory message cards will be sent to celebrants for special occasions occurring from 28 October 2001.

People wishing to request a congratulatory message from The Queen should contact the office of their local Federal Member of Parliament.
