Mrs Ann Hollingworth

Her Excellency Mrs Ann Hollingworth returned to ‘Yarralumla’ on Monday following a mastectomy undertaken at the John James Memorial Hospital in Canberra on the previous Thursday afternoon.

Mrs Hollingworth is making good progress after surgery and she will shortly embark on a course of chemotherapy treatment.  She hopes to join her husband in the performance of their representational duties as soon as she is able.

Mrs Hollingworth would like to thank the many people who have sent her greatly appreciated messages of support, particularly the many women who have themselves gone through this experience.  Many flowers have been received and are much appreciated.  Mrs Hollingworth would also like to thank the surgeon, doctors and staff at John James Memorial Hospital for their excellent care and attention.
