Message from Her Majesty The Queen on Australian Defence Forces serving in the Gulf

His Excellency the Governor-General has received the following Message from Her Majesty The Queen which is being conveyed to the Members of the Australian Defence Force serving in the Gulf:

I would like to pass on my heartfelt support to all Australian personnel now deployed in the Gulf.  I know that you will uphold Australia’s best traditions of service and duty with great courage and commitment.  For many of you, far away from home, the coming weeks will test the skills, dedication and determination for which Australian servicemen and women are well known the world over.  Australia is rightly proud of you.  My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
