GOVERNMENT HOUSE INVESTITURES

The Governor-General will hold Investitures at Government House, Canberra, on Friday, 13th April 2007. There will be 40 recipients of honours and awards during the morning ceremony and 41 recipients during the afternoon ceremony.

Interested media representatives are invited to attend to cover the investitures. However, as is usual practice, due to space constraints, media groups are asked to pool resources.

Journalists wishing to attend should arrive no later than 9.45 am for the morning ceremony and 2.15 pm for the afternoon ceremony.

Journalists wishing to interview any of the recipients are required to provide, prior to arrival, a list of the names of those they would like to interview. Interviews are to take place under the portico at the main entrance.
