GOVERNOR-GENERAL’S MESSAGE TO AUSTRALIA’S PARALYMPICS TEAM

The Governor-General, Ms Quentin Bryce AC, wishes all Australia’s Paralympians well in their pursuits at the 13th Paralympic Summer Games.

“Australia ranked fifth in the medal tally at the Athens Paralympic Games, and I know all Australians will join me in cheering on our team, who have all conquered so much adversity just to compete in Beijing in 2008.”

“Your persistence, focus and sheer hard work over four years have paid off, and your countrymen are proud of your achievements”.

“On behalf of your supporters at home, we wish you new PBs, new friends, a healthy Paralympics, and a safe return home”.
