GOVERNOR-GENERAL SIGNS FIRST BILL FOR ASSENT

The Governor-General, Ms Quentin Bryce AC, has signed her first Bill for Assent since being sworn in on September the 5th.

The National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Amendment Bill 2008 was presented to the Governor-General for signing by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the Hon Harry Jenkins MP, the Attorney-General, the Hon Robert McClelland MP, the Clerk of the House, Mr Ian Harris AO and the Speaker’s senior adviser, Mr Christopher Paterson.
