GOVERNOR-GENERAL’S VISIT TO EAST TIMOR

At the invitation of the President of Timor Leste, HE Mr Ramos Horta, the Governor-General, Ms Quentin Bryce AC, and Mr Michael Bryce, AM AE will visit East Timor from Saturday, December 14th to Tuesday December 16th, 2008.

During the tour, the Governor-General will meet President H.E. Dr. José Ramos-Horta, Prime Minister Xanana Gusmão, and members of the Ministry of East Timor.

Ms Bryce will also address the National Parliament of East Timor and visit officers of the Timorese Leste Police Development Program, Australian members of the UN Police and have dinner with the International Stabilization Force.

The Governor-General will also travel to Maubara to visit a Community Health Clinic and launch an AusAid study, “An Overview of Health Care Seeking Behaviour”.
