GOVERNOR-GENERAL TO VISIT COMMUNITIES AFFECTED BY VICTORIAN BUSHFIRES AND QUEENSLAND FLOODS

The Governor-General, Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, will visit communities affected by the bushfires in Victoria and flooding in Queensland later this week.
Ms Bryce will visit emergency relief staff, volunteers and communities in Melbourne and affected areas in regional Victoria on Thursday, February the 12th, before travelling to Ingham in North Queensland on Friday and Saturday, February the 13th and 14th.
After spending the night in Ingham, the Governor-General will travel back to fire affected areas of regional Victoria on Sunday, February the 15th.
Pool arrangements are offered to media wishing to cover the four day visit.
A more detailed media alert outlining locations and times will be released on Wednesday afternoon.
