MEDIA ADVISORY - GOVERNOR-GENERAL TO VISIT PORT AUGUSTA

The Governor-General, Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr. Michael Bryce AM AE, will visit Port Augusta this Thursday, 3 September. 
Segments of the program which may be of interest to the media include:

• 2.00 pm: The Governor-General, as patron of the Royal Flying Doctor Service, will view the Service’s new facility and aircraft at the Port Augusta RFDS base.
• 3.30 pm: Visit to the Ramsey Retirement Village to meet staff, residents and pay special respects to a resident celebrating her 107th birthday.
• 5.30 pm: The Governor-General and Mr. Bryce will attend a civic reception hosted by the Mayor, Mrs. Nancy Joy Baluch AM, at the Port Augusta Cultural Centre. 
• 6.00 pm: The Governor-General will officially open a photographic exhibition by renowned photographer, David Simpson, at the Cultural Centre.

Media representatives are welcome to cover all or part of the program in Port Augusta.  Copies of Her Excellency’s speech at the David Simpson exhibition launch will be made available on the day.
