CHILDREN’S CHRISTMAS PARTIES

 ADMIRALTY HOUSE AND GOVERNMENT HOUSE

The media is invited to cover the annual children’s Christmas Parties which will be held at the Governor-General’s residences, Admiralty House in Sydney, and Government House in Canberra. Both events will be “picfacs” only.

The parties in Sydney, on November 18^th and 19^th will be attended by around 250 children, parents and carers on each day. There will be a range of fun activities, including a jumping castle, face painting and magicians, and the run of the Admiralty House gardens.

The party at Government House in Canberra, on November the 24^th, will be attended by around 700 children, parents and carers, and will feature tethered hot air balloon rides (courtesy of the RAAF), laughing clowns, vintage car rides and a petting zoo. Father Christmas will interrupt his busy schedule to make surprise appearances in both cities.

Sausage sandwiches, icy poles, fairy bread and fruit juice will be available to the media.

TIME: Admiralty House: 12.00 to 1.30 pm; Government House: 11.00 to 3.00pm

DATES: Sydney: 18^th and 19^th November; Canberra: 24^th November
