more »On Thursday 11 February 2010, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC received from Her Excellency Ms Fauzia Nasreen, Letters of Commission accrediting her as the High Commissioner for the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The High Commissioner was accompanied by Mr Tasawar Khan (Minister) and Brigadier Baber Mansoor Virk (Defence Adviser), High Commission for the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
Afterwards, the Governor-General received from His Excellency Mr Raul Gangotena, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador of the Republic of Ecuador. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Luis Felipe Valencia (Consul), Ms Susan Maria Allnut Chiriboga (Minister), and Ms Susana Del Rocio Garzón (Attaché), Embassy of the Republic of Ecuador. The Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE also received Ms Anne Patteet. Later, the Governor-General received from Her Excellency Mrs Maija Lähteenmäki, Letters of Credence, accrediting her as the Ambassador of the Republic of Finland. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Juha Pyykkö (Counsellor), Mrs Ritva Kettunen (Attaché), and Ms Pirkko Kaikkonen (Consul), Embassy of the Republic of Finland. The Governor-General and Mr Bryce also received Dr Néstor Vargas. Then, the Governor-General received from His Excellency Mr Hoang Vinh Thanh, Letters of Credence, accrediting him as the Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Nguyen Toan (Minister-Counsellor), Mr Nghiem Hoa (First Secretary), and Ms Nguyen Ngoc (Third Secretary), Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. The Governor-General and Mr Bryce also received Ms Nguyen Bui.
