Governor-General's Program

On Saturday 24 April 2010, in Bowral, NSW, the Administrator of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia, His Excellency Dr Ken Michael AC, as guest of the Museum Curator, Mr David Wells, visited the Bradman Museum.

In the Republic of Turkey, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE attended Commemorative Services at: the Turkish International Service, Mehmetcik Abide; the French Memorial, Morto Bay; and the Commonwealth Memorial, Cape Helles. Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce, as guests of Mr Kenan Çelik AO, visited the Battlefields of the Gallipoli Peninsula. Later, at the Kabatepe War Museum, Gallipoli Historic National Park, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce attended a tree planting ceremony. Afterwards, at the Kolin Hotel, Çanakkale, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce attended a ceremony at which the Governor-General opened the joint Çanakkale Art Prize-Ataturk Photo Exhibition. Later, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce, as guests of honour, attended a reception hosted by the Governor of Çanakkale, Mr Abdulkadir Atalýk.
