On Thursday, 30 January, 2003 at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, Dr Peter Hollingworth, received from His Excellency Mr Milivoje Glisic Letters of Credence accrediting him as Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Radomir Jergic, (Counsellor) and Mrs Jasmina Gavrilovic-Tarle (Attache) Embassy of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. Dr Hollingworth and Mrs Hollingworth also received Mrs Vida Rakic-Glisic.

Afterwards, Dr Hollingworth received from His Excellency Mr Jerzy Wieclaw, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland, Letters of Credence accrediting him as Ambassador of the Republic of Poland. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Marek Malarski, (First Secretary), Embassy of the Republic of Poland; and Mr Taduez Zylinski (Consul-General) and Mr Tomasz Zoladkiewicz (Consul, Commercial), Consulate-General, Sydney. Later, Dr Hollingworth received from His Excellency Mr Siddig Abu-Agla, Letters of Credence accrediting him as Ambassador of the Republic of Sudan. Dr Hollingworth and Mrs Hollingworth also received Mrs Samia El-Haj Suliman Omer. Afterwards, Dr Hollingworth received from His Excellency Dr Barfuor Adjei-Barwuah, Letters of Commission accrediting him as High Commissioner for the Republic of Ghana. The High Commissioner was accompanied by Mr Ahmed M. Hassan (Minister), High Commission, Tokyo, and Mr Kofi Osei-Ameyan (Honorary Consul-General), Consulate-General, Sydney. Dr Hollingworth and Mrs Hollingworth also received Mrs Dinah Adjei-Barwuah. Afterwards, Dr Hollingworth and Mrs Hollingworth hosted a Luncheon, guests at which were: Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium, His Excellency Mr Luk Darras, and Mrs Barbra Jackert-Darras; Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and Mrs Rakic-Glisic; Ambassador of the Republic of Poland; Ambassador of the Republic of Sudan and Mrs Samia; Ambassador of the Republic of Ghana and Mrs Adjei-Barwuah; Mr Peter Varghese and Ms Karina Campbell.
