On Monday 1 June 2026, Their Excellencies the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, and Mr Simeon Beckett SC, as guests of the Honourable La’aulialematlietoa Leuatea Polataivao Fosi Schmidt, Prime Minister of the Independent State of Samoa, attended a Flag Raising Ceremony and the 64th Independence Day March at the Samoa Parliamentary Precinct in Apia, Samoa.

Then, Their Excellencies, as guests of the Honourable La’aulialematlietoa Leuatea Polataivao Fosi Schmidt, Prime Minister of the Independent State of Samoa, attended a Ceremonial handover of the Legislative Assembly Offices at the Samoa Parliamentary Precinct in Apia, Samoa.

In the afternoon, Their Excellencies, as guests of the Honourable La’aulialematlietoa Leuatea Polataivao Fosi Schmidt, Prime Minister of Samoa, attended the Official 64th Independence Day Lunch at Taumeasina Island Resort in Apia, Samoa.

Then, Their Excellencies, as guests of His Excellency Mr Will Robinson, Australian High Commissioner to Samoa, attended an afternoon tea in celebration of Australia-Samoa People to People Links at Tanoa Tusitala Hotel in Apia, Samoa. 

Afterwards, Their Excellencies together with the Honourable Ale Vena Ale, Samoan Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, observed a Fautasi Race and met Fautasi Rowers at Apia Waterfront, Samoa.
