Apia, Samoa; Funafuti, Tuvalu

On Tuesday 2 June 2026, Their Excellencies the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, and Mr Simeon Beckett SC, as guests of Ms Tagaloatea Maimoana Petaia, Team Leader, Tautua Human Development for All Program, attended a Talanoa with Australian-supported Samoan Non-Government Organisations at Taumeasina Island Resort in Apia, Samoa. 

Then, Their Excellencies, as guests of His Excellency Mr Will Robinson, Australian High Commissioner to Samoa, attended and delivered a keynote address at a Pacific Women’s Professional Development Program – Advancing Intelligence Management Course Ceremony at the Australian High Commission in Samoa. 

In the afternoon, Their Excellencies, as guests of the Honourable Va’aaoao Salumalo Alofipo, Samoan Minister of Health, visited and handed-over electronic health equipment to the Ministry of Health, at the Ministry of Health Pharmaceutical Warehouse in Apia, Samoa.

Then, Their Excellencies were farewelled by the Honourable Mulipola Anarosa Ale Molio’o, Samoan Deputy Prime Minister, the Honourable Masinalupe Leatuavao Makesi Pisi, Samoa Customs Minister, and the Honourable Agaseata Tanuvasa Valelio Tanuavasa Peto, Samoan Minister of Communications and Information Technology at Faleolo International Airport, Samoa.

Afterwards, Their Excellencies travelled from Apia, Samoa to Funafuti, Tuvalu. 

Later, Their Excellencies, received a Traditional Welcome at Funafuti International Airport, Tuvalu.

Afterwards, Their Excellencies were received by His Excellency the Reverend Sir Tofiga Vaevalu Falani GCMG MBE, Governor-General of Tuvalu at Government House Funafuti, Tuvalu.

Later, Their Excellencies, as guests of the Honourable Panapasi Nelesone, Acting Prime Minister of Tuvalu, attended a bilateral meeting at Sir Tomasi Puapua Convention Centre in Funafuti, Tuvalu.

In the evening, Their Excellencies, as guests of the Honourable Panapasi Nelesone, Acting Prime Minister of Tuvalu, attended a State Banquet and Fatele at Niutao Hall, Funafuti, Tuvalu.
