On Thursday 28 July 2022, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley, as guests of Ms Lynette Wood, Acting High Commissioner, Australian High Commission London, attended the PacificAus Sport reception.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley attended the Commonwealth Games Family reception.

Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley met with His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales and presented Australia’s gift to Her Majesty The Queen on the occasion of her Platinum Jubilee.

Then, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley attended the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games opening ceremony.
