On Friday 10 December 2021, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley, as guests of Ms Sandra Purser, President, participated in an on-air reading at Radio 1RPH.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley hosted an event for the reveal of the ‘Handprints Project’ and 2021 Giving Hope Awards.

Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Dr Loren Miller, Co-Chair and Executive Director, attended the launch of Outward Bound's Duke of Edinburgh Open Award Centre.
