On Wednesday 12 October 2022, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd), met with students from Bacchus Marsh Primary School, Bacchus Marsh, Victoria.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley attended the National Memorial Service to mark the 20th anniversary of the 2002 Bali Bombings.

Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley met with students from Tarro Public School, Tarro, New South Wales.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General received Major General Datuk Nizam, Commandant; Brigadier General Koey Tan Chai, Senior Directing Staff Air Force; Colonel Zunaidi bin Hassan, Colonel Coordinator National Resilience College, Malaysia; and Colonel Mahmad Fazil bin Idris, Malaysian Defence Advisor to Australia.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received Ms Indra McCormick, Head of Mission-designate, Portugal.

Later, the Governor-General met with Mr Steve Howard, Secretary General, The Global Foundation, via video conference.
