On Wednesday 15 March 2023, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) received members of the Australian Defence Force’s Military Strategic Commitments Branch, including Air Vice-Marshall Stephen Chappell DSC CSC OAM, Head, and Lieutenant Colonel Matthew Worthington, Legal Officer. 

In the evening, the Governor-General and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley, as guests of His Excellency Thanh Nguyen, Ambassador, attended a dinner at the Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
