On Thursday 10 August 2023, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) attended breakfast with the Honourable Anthony Albanese MP, Prime Minister of Australia.

Later, the Governor-General received a phone call from Ms Shelley Reys AO, Chair, Council of the Order of Australia.

Then, the Governor-General met with students from Killarney Vale Primary School, Killarney Vale, NSW.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley officially opened the Government House Yarning Circle.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley hosted an afternoon tea for the 2023 National Search and Rescue (NATSAR) Managers Course.
