On Wednesday 25 October 2023, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) met with students from Thirroul Public School, Thirroul, New South Wales.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley, hosted a lunch for Heads of Mission of Non-European Union nations. Guests included Her Excellency Ms Biljana Stefanoska Sekovska, Ambassador of North Macedonia; Her Excellency Mrs Caroline Bichet-Anthamatten, Ambassador of Switzerland, and her spouse Mr Emmanuel Bitchet; His Excellency Mr Kemel Muftić, Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina; His Excellency Archbishop (Most Reverend) Charles Daniel Balvo, Apostolic Nuncio for Holy See, and Monsignor Alfred Rayan Dsouza, First Secretary; His Excellency Mr Rade Stefanovic, Ambassador of Serbia; Her Excellency Ms Anne Grete Riise, Ambassador of Norway; Mrs Ivana Isidorovic, Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of Serbia; Mr Umut Vatan Aydin, Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of Turkiye; Mr Adrian Mara, Chargé d'Affaires of Albania; Mr Chris Cannon, First Assistant Secretary; Europe Division, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade; Mr Paul Singer MVO, Official Secretary, Office of the Official Secretary to the Governor-General; and Mr Jeff Barnes, Deputy Official Secretary, Office of the Official Secretary to the Governor-General.
