On Wednesday 20 March 2024, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) met with students and teachers from Orchard Grove Primary School, Blackburn South, Victoria, as they undertook a tour of Government House. 

Later, the Governor-General and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley hosted a morning tea for partners and family members of Parliamentarians. 

In the afternoon, the Governor-General, as Patron, and Mrs Hurley hosted an afternoon tea for Down Syndrome Australia ahead of World Down Syndrome Day. 

Then, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley hosted an afternoon tea for the 2024 National Schools Constitutional Convention.
