On Wednesday 31 July 2024, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC met with students and teachers from St. Mary Mackillop College, Western Australia, as they undertook a school tour of Government House.  

Then, the Governor-General received Ms Nina Davidson, Acting Director-General, Office of National Intelligence.

Afterwards, the Governor-General met with students and teachers from Rosary Park Catholic College, Branxton, New South Wales, as they undertook a school tour of Government House.  

In the afternoon, the Governor-General received members of the Wattle Day Association, including Dr Suzette Searle, President; Mr Greg Blood, Mr Denis Brown, and Ms Teah Searle.

Then, the Governor-General received representatives of SBS Australia, including Mr James Taylor, Managing Director; Mr Mohammad Al-Khafaji, Head of Strategic Partnerships, and Ms Clare O’Neil, Director of Corporate Affairs.

In the evening, the Governor-General hosted a dinner for Ms Wendy McCarthy AO and Ms Elsa Atkin.
