On Monday 9 September 2024, Her Excellency The Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, hosted a breakfast for the Honourable Vicki O’Halloran AO CVO. 

Then, the Governor-General received the Final Report of the Royal Commission into Defence and Veteran Suicide from Commissioner Nick Kaldas APM, Commissioner Peggy Brown AO, Commissioner James Douglas KC and Ms Tracey Bell. 

In the afternoon, the Governor-General as Chancellor of the Order of Australia, hosted an Investiture Ceremony for Order of Australia Honours, Conspicuous Service Decorations, Meritorious Service Awards and Australian Bravery Decorations.
