On Tuesday, 22 July 2025, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, as guest of Mr David Smith MP, Parliamentary Christian Fellowship, attended an Ecumenical Worship Service. 

Then, the Governor-General met with students and teachers from Genesis Christian College, Queensland, as they undertook a school tour of Government House. 

In the afternoon, the Governor-General and His Excellency Mr Simeon Beckett SC opened the 48th Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia.
