On Thursday 27 November 2025, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, presided over a meeting of the Federal Executive Council with The Honourable Julie Collins MP and The Honourable Rebecca White MP. 

Then, the Governor-General, as guest of Carrie Leeson, Chief Executive Officer, and patron of Lifeline, opened the new Lifeline Canberra Crisis Support Centre.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General, as Commander-in-Chief and guest of Commodore Ben Favelle CSC RAN, Commander Support Force, presented the 2024 Governor’s Cup to HMAS Harman, at HMAS Harman.

Then, the Governor-General met students and teachers from Ararat West Primary School, Ararat West, Victoria, during their school tour of Government House.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received Letters of Credence, accrediting His Excellency Mr Alisher Kayumov, as the non-resident Ambassador of Uzbekistan. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Umid Khoyikhonou, Third Secretary, Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Singapore. 

Later, the Governor-General as guest of Ms Jan Adams AO PSM, Secretary, attended the End-of-Year reception at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

In the evening, the Governor-General, as guest of Kate Driver, Chief Executive Officer, attended the End-of-Year reception for the Institute of Public Administration Australia - Australian Capital Territory, at The Rex Hotel.
